Lesotho Promise Diamond

The Lesotho Promise is the tenth largest diamond in the world. It was discovered by a woman sorting rocks in a mine. In 2006, the diamond was auctioned for over $12 million. After cutting, the price of the 120-gram diamond doubled. The South African Diamond Corporation now owns the jewel.
The company said it plans to sell the cut diamond in the future, when the price is right.
