Spring sale wide success for Roosevelt

On Thursday, May 5, 2011 Roosevelt Academy held its annual Spring Sale at the school.

All of the school-based businesses had their products for sale including: ETC - Eaglet’s Tasty Confections & Crafts, Roosevelt Farms  organically grown vegetables and herbs, School House Jewelry – handmade jewelry, E-Street Grille - BBQ Pork Lunch and Desserts, and The 3rd R  Handmade gift boxes.

“The community really came out and supported the sale, and over $1,700 was raised during the one day event. All proceeds will be used to enhance classroom instruction and student learning,” said Rob Bagby,

Roosevelt’s public information spokesperson and the director of the E-Street Grille.

On top of earning money and math skills, the students also gained valuable real life experiences in customer service, communication, and entrepreneurship,” Bagby said.
