Largest Display of Rare Gemstones in International Jewelry Show

A horse made up of 518,300 carats of various gemstones.


SINGAPORE-: The annual Singapore International Jewelry show-returns with the largest showcase of rare gemstones worth about S$120 million. 


The 5 day event is held at Marina Bay Sands.


Now into its seventh year, the show-brings together some 180 exhibitors from 25 countries - the highest number to date.

Among the rare finds on display is a 92-carat natural sapphire, which turns blue violet in daylight and light purple under incandescent light. It comes with a S$2.18 million price tag.


Not to be outdone is a S$5 million necklace and earrings set - the single most expensive item on display.


The event also showcases the world's only full sized bejewelled-horse created by Italy's Roberto Spagnolo. The horse is made up of-518,300-carats of various gemstones.
