Mikimoto Making Charity Pendant for Japan


New York--Reported by Elite Traveler, the Private-Jet Lifestyle Magazine Mikimoto, Japan’s most storied luxury jewelry label, has unveiled a new charity pendant to aid earthquake and tsunami relief efforts across the country. 


The limited edition piece evokes the Japanese flag with a single 7.5mm cultured Akoya pearl (the nation’s most iconic gem) alongside a red enamel disc set in sterling silver. The pendant will retail for $290, with all proceeds donated directly to the Japanese Red Cross. As of June 25th, it will be available a- Mikimoto boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, South-Coast Plaza and Las Vegas, as well as the label’s e-store.
